Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau (Newtox) and Xeomin are injectable neuromodulators/neurotoxins. All are forms of botulism toxins that can temporarily alter/block nerve activity in a specified or targeted muscle or muscle group.

• Commonly used/administered in the muscle between the brow (glabella area or procerus muscle); forehead (frontalis muscle); crow’s feet area (orbicularis oculi); fine lip lines (smoker’s lines or orbicularis oris); “bunny lines” on the nose (nasalis); and the chewing muscles (masseter muscles) to reduce TMJ symptoms.

• Additionally, these products can be used in the platysmal bands (visible tight bands when you grimace) in the neck resulting in a more youthful appearing neck.

• Can take 7-10 days to take effect; however, many claim Xeomin starts taking effect as soon as 1 day.

​

• Xeomin is considered the “purer” form of the toxin as it does not contain accessory proteins found in Botox and other neuromodulators currently used in the aesthetic industry.
